CANINESE HIGH QUALITY EXTRA VIRGIN OLIVE OIL
A native to central Italy, Lazio the Caninese olive has been producing exceptional quality oil for centuries. Our high quality Italian Caninese Reserve extra virgin olive oil also is considered a regional cultivar with a special designation of "D.O.P." - D.O.P. standing for "Denominazione d'Origine Protetta," or Protected Designation of Origin. This certification is a high honor in the country with the world's highest standards for olive oil, in an area renowned for its olive oil for thousands of years. Hand picked and crushed or milled within 4 hours. It is bold, has a green and intense flavor profile with high level of natural nutrients like phenolic compounds (Poly-Phenol). It is small batch production so it is very limited.

With its beautiful green-yellow color characteristic of its cultivar, our Caninese Reserve extra virgin displays the best examples of its kind. Fruity in aroma with notes of almond, artichoke and freshly-cut grass, it is pleasantly balanced by a slightly bitter, pungent and herbaceous overtone.

Our Caninese Reserve extra virgin olive oil brings the flavors and the smells of the Mediterranean to any dish, no matter how elaborate or simple it may be! Pair with our Apple reserve vinegar or Blackberry Balsamic vinegars for a delightfully sweet-yet-tart balance of flavors in a dressing for salads or roasted vegetables. On its own, this gorgeous olive oil is an excellent choice for dipping crusty artisanal breads or as a finishing oil over soups, pastas, stews or other grain dishes.
