Description
Your Every day flatware should be as fashionable as you are!
The Laguiole knife has been crafted in the heart of France for over 200 years. It is in Viscomtat, a small mountain town near Thiers, the Capital of the French cutlery, where the company produces kitchen knives and table cutlery of quality. Assemble, shape, polish, sharpen. It's been almost a century and the same gestures are still being repeated in a precise, delicate way to assure the quality of these products of excellence. Monsieur Pierre Dubost, a professional in cutlery, who was himself a cutler's son, founded Dubost Colas Pradel in 1920. It is now one of the century-old companies, a century of an incredible human and industrial adventure. The bumblebee that is found on all the Laguiole knives is one of the emblems of the area, signifying its reliability. The blade, made of high-grade stainless steel, is stamped, then ground and then polished with over 25 different manual production stages. The result is a product steeped in history and tradition that will stand the test of time.
This Jean Dubost 24 piece flatware set has a gauge of 1.5mm, is dishwasher safe, is rust resistant, and will last a lifetime. With their beautiful multicolor handle, they are all great for any special occasions to every day use. Certificate of Authenticity and tray included.
Care Instructions: We recommend washing your cutlery gently by hand under running hot water and to wipe it off immediately after.
Note: With restoration of the monarchy in 1660, the design of knives slowly changed from the rather server vintage Puritan knife. Eating knives of the seventeenth century became thin and elegant and by the end of the century the blade became longer with more decorative handles like jet, ebony, amber, colored bone, hard stone or precious metal, contemporary with changes of style and the practice of laying the table with matching knife, fork and spoon around 18th century, was the introduction of the separate dining room with dining table and chairs and other furniture.
