The landscape of Italian olive oil producers is multifaceted, rich and diverse. The Italian olive cultivars is estimated to include way over a 1000 varieties, most of them landraces, vegetatively propagated at a farm level since ancient times. The number is probably underestimated because of the scarce information on minor local varieties widespread in the different olive growing region. Italy is the second larger producer and the largest consumer of olive oil in the world. Majority of our hand selected Italian olive oils are DOP and curated by award winning producers.
