Orecchiette, which translates to "little ears" in English, is a traditional Pugliese pasta that is made manually by wrapping a pasta disk around the tip of the thumb and letting it dry. Only Marella treats white pasta with such reverence, and you will taste that care in this small but tasty pasta! They use only local, Certified Organic ingredients in their pastas and use centuries-old techniques, ensuring that their pasta has a dreamy texture and delicious taste.

PAIRING SUGGESTIONS:
Its small size and round shape makes our Orecchiette excellent for cold pasta salads featuring chopped vegetables, olives, tomatoes and dressed with our Organic Crushed Herbs de Provence extra virgin olive oil and any of our white balsamic or wine vinegars. Use the Orecchiette with traditional Pugliese sauces as well, like a white sauce using garlic, oil and hot pepper, or a tomato sauce with cauliflower and Pecorino cheese.
